Following the consecration, the hierarch celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the new church, concelebrated by Archbishop Viktor of Artsyz and the city clergy.
During the service, prayers were offered for peace in Ukraine, for the soldiers, and for all the people of God. A deaconal ordination was also performed that day.
After the conclusion of the Liturgy, the faithful prayed before the icon of the Mother of God “of the Don.”
As the UOJ earlier reported, an altar was recently consecrated in a UOC church in the village of Chehodarivka.
