Christmas without holidays

```html
In Rivne, school holidays are introduced from December 5 to January 5.
It turns out that Christmas according to the Julian calendar, celebrated by about four million Orthodox Christians, falls outside this holiday period.
That is, children return to school just when millions of Ukrainian families are preparing for their main holiday — the birth of Christ.
Involuntarily, one recalls the times when Lenin's government changed the calendar and shifted holidays so that people could not celebrate Christmas and other church days.
At that time, they also talked about a «new way of life», «renewal», «European reforms» — but in reality, they deprived believers of the opportunity to celebrate together.
Today in Ukraine, there are officially holidays for Jewish and Muslim celebrations, and this is fair because every faith deserves respect.
But it would be desirable for Orthodox Christians who adhere to the Julian calendar not to be forgotten either.
After all, faith and tradition — these are not just dates on a calendar, they are part of our identity.
The effort that transforms: Why fasting begins with the simple things
Lately, one idea is heard more and more often: that the main point of fasting is “not to eat each other alive,” and that what’s on your plate doesn’t matter. People repeat that food neither brings you closer to God nor pushes you away from Him, that you should fast “however it works out,” and that all of this is secondary.
Deep сauses of military failures
The fact that Zaluzhnyi has finally been allowed to speak about the events of past days, I regard as a positive sign. The “expired guarantor” is gradually being squeezed, subtle but unmistakable hints are being sent – even by the British. And this is only a small fraction of what could now be said about the global military miscalculations of the ruling team.
