Horlivka Metropolitan charged in absentia with justifying RF aggression

Metropolitan Mitropfan of Horlivka and Sloviansk was informed in absentia of suspicion of justifying Russian aggression against Ukraine. This was reported by the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.
According to the investigation, in May 2024, the metropolitan "gave an interview to a film crew of one of the propaganda TV channels, in which he justified the actions of the occupiers."
Prosecutors of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office informed the hierarch of suspicion in absentia. He is accused of justifying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, which began in 2014, under part 3 of article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Currently, Metropolitan Mitrofan is wanted.
As reported by the UOJ, earlier former MP and protodeacon of the UOC Novinsky was charged with treason.
