Conscription Office detains cleric of UOC Chernivtsi Eparchy

In Chernivtsi region, staff of the Territorial Recruitment Center (TRC) detained Archpriest Mykola Hryha, rector of the parish of the Holy Prophet Elijah of the UOC in the village of Valiava, Kitsman district. This was reported by the faithful of the Chernivtsi–Bukovyna Eparchy on their Facebook page.
The priest is currently being held at the TRC office in Chernivtsi.
“We ask for intensified prayers for him,” the message reads.
Orthodox believers of Bukovyna are also calling for prayers for Fr. Fedir Hnytetsky, who is likewise being detained at the TRC premises.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the TRC had taken a 58-year-old UOC priest in Bukovyna.
