The UOJ has opened its branch in Georgia. On September 10, 2025, a new Georgian-language website was launched to cover the events of Orthodox life in the country.
“Georgia, as the land of the Most Holy Theotokos, holds a special place for us. Here, where faith and the Church have for centuries formed the foundation of national identity, we see a particular need to strengthen the Orthodox voice and to provide the public with reliable, profound, and objective information,” our Georgian colleagues wrote.
The mission of the Georgian UOJ branch is to strengthen the Orthodox faith in Georgia, defend the interests of the Church, and give society the opportunity to better understand the depth and meaning of Orthodoxy. The Union of Orthodox Journalists of Georgia is beginning active work in the service of faith, truth, and spiritual values.
As a reminder, on November 21, 2024, the UOJ registered a new legal entity in Europe and also opened branches in Greece, Germany, Albania, Serbia, the USA, Bulgaria, and on Mount Athos. Further branches in other countries are expected to follow.
