OCU encroaches on Czech and Slovak Church territory

On August 31, 2025, the OCU held a "liturgy" in Brno, Czech Republic, reports the Facebook page of the "Chaplaincy Mission for Orthodox Ukrainians in the Czech Republic". The religious event, led by Mykhailo Chaban, was held in the building of the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren.
"There were both worshippers and communicants," stated the "mission". Chaban declared that the "liturgy" was "the first, but not the last".
It should be noted that Brno is the canonical territory of the Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia. Representatives of other Churches do not have the right to conduct any services without the consent of the OCCLS. Moreover, according to the Tomos, the OCU does not have the right to establish communities outside the territory of Ukraine.
Let us recall, the Czech branch of the UOJ reported that the OCU is establishing its parish in the country. Previously, the UOJ wrote that the OCU entered the canonical territory of Poland. On July 27, 2025, a "service" of the OCU, led by "hierarchs" Ilarion Protsyk and Mitrofan Butynsky, took place in Warsaw.
