On August 26, 2025, it became known about the detention by TRC representatives of a bus driver with pilgrims from the Pochaiv Lavra. This was reported by the Telegram channel «Pershyi Kozatskyi» with reference to a message from the faithful.
Journalists received the following message:
«God save us! Dear brothers and sisters, we ask for your prayers. Our driver was detained by the TRC when we were returning home from the procession. He has been held at the TCC for two hours now. We have a bus full of people and children. Currently, the driver is facing the VLK (medical evaluation board - Trans.). Pray that he does not pass it, because if he does, people will be left 800 km from home without transport».
It is reported that the driver has already passed the medical examination and is heading for training. His name is Georiy. The faithful ask for prayers for him.
Georgiy was supposed to take the procession participants to the front-line Sumy. Due to the driver's abduction, they are forced to spend the night in Pochaev and are now waiting for another driver to arrive from Sumy.
As reported by the UOJ, earlier the TRC took a multi-child priest of the UOC directly from the procession to Pochaiv.
