Detained seminarian Pavlo Vasylevskyi contacts his family

On August 8, 2025, it became known that a student of the Kyiv Theological Academy and Seminary of the UOC, Pavlo Vasylevskyi, who was detained the day before by TRC employees, contacted his family and friends, reports kozakTv1.
According to available information, he is located at the training center "Desna". At the moment, the details of his stay at the training center and the conditions of detention are not disclosed. It is also unknown whether Vasylevskyi signed any documents.
AS reported, on August 7, around 20:00, Pavlo was detained in Kyiv when he was returning from an evening service at the Kitaevo Hermitage, where he sang in the choir. Shortly before that, he was talking on the phone with his fiancée, after which he stopped making contact. His phone was turned off, and his whereabouts remained unknown.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that in Kyiv, the TRC detained a student of the UOC seminary.
