Poltava Eparchy of UOC commemorates Holy Venerable Martyrs of Mhar

On August 6, 2025, on the day of remembrance of the Venerable Martyrs of Mhar, celebrations in honor of the saints took place at the Transfiguration Mhar Monastery and the Annunciation Skete of the UOC in Poltava region, reports the press service of the Poltava Eparchy.
The Divine Liturgy at the monastery was led by Metropolitan Philip of Poltava and Myrhorod, with the participation of the deans of the diocesan districts, the brethren of the monastery in holy orders, and the clergy of the eparchy.
During the service, the abbess of the Horbanivka Monastery, Abbess Angelina, prayed with the sisters of the monastery. The liturgical hymns were performed by the episcopal choir under the direction of Protodeacon Georgiy Lind.
After the service, Metropolitan Philip led a procession to the Annunciation Skete, where a prayer service was held at the grave of the Venerable Martyrs of Mhar.
As reported by the UOJ, a youth congress "In the Footsteps of the Apostles" was held at the Poltava Seminary.
