Islamic Center damaged as a result of Kyiv shelling

On the night of July 31, 2025, the Islamic Cultural Center and mosque in Kyiv were damaged by Russian shelling, reports Murat Suleimanov, the head of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Ukraine "Umma" .

According to Suleimanov, windows and doors in the building were shattered. No casualties have been reported.

The imam compared the Russian shelling to Israel's actions in Gaza. "Pray to God to protect us and His servants everywhere. May Allah help us and the Muslims of Ukraine and our destitute brothers in Gaza and everywhere," said Suleimanov.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that, according to the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 596 Orthodox churches have been destroyed in Ukraine.
