Metropolitan Theodor of Mukachevo сonsecrates new altar at UOC church

On Sunday, July 19, 2025, Metropolitan Theodor of Mukachevo and Uzhhorod consecrated a new altar at St. Michael's Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the village of Stuzhytsia, Zakarpattia Region, according to the press service of the Mukachevo Eparchy.

Following the consecration, the hierarch celebrated the Divine Liturgy.

During the service, special prayers were offered for peace in Ukraine, for an end to the war, and for the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

After the Liturgy, the metropolitan addressed the faithful with a sermon.

Metropolitan Theodor expressed his gratitude to the rector of the church, Archpriest Viktor Petryk, and to the parishioners for their labors, and called down God’s blessing upon all.

As previously reported by the UOJ, the altar of a UOC church was also consecrated in the city of Rakhiv, Zakarpattia Region.
