Head of ROCOR congratulates Metropolitan Onuphry on Name Day

On June 24, 2025, on the eve of the commemoration day of St. Onuphrius the Great, the heavenly patron of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine, a congratulatory message was received from the First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia (ROCOR), Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America and New York. This was reported by the UOC Information and Education Department.
In the congratulatory note, Bishop Nicholas highlighted the confessional path and spiritual labors of the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. He wished Metropolitan Onufriy good health, longevity, and strength of spirit for many years to come, to the glory of the Risen Christ. The archpastor also expressed a prayerful wish that the Lord grant His grace to the world and fill people's hearts with Divine love and peace.
“May the Lamb of God keep You in good health, blessed longevity, and strength of spirit, so that in spiritual joy for many years You may glorify Christ, ‘who was delivered up for our sins and raised for our justification’ (Romans 4:25).
May the Lord instill His Divine love in our hearts; may He illuminate us with His Divine grace and bless us and the whole world with His blessed peace!" wished the Archpastor to His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the Primate of the Polish Church congratulated His Beatitude on his name day.
