Brailiv Monastery of UOC celebrates its anniversaries

On June 10, 2025, at the Brailiv Women's Monastery of the Vinnytsia Eparchy of the UOC, three anniversaries were prayerfully celebrated: the 390th anniversary of the monastery's founding, the 35th anniversary of its restoration, and the 30th anniversary of the transfer of the Czestochowa Icon of the Mother of God. This was reported by the eparchial press service.
The Divine Liturgy was led by Metropolitan Varsonofy of Vinnytsia and Bar. The archbishop was concelebrated by clergy from the Vinnytsia and other eparchies of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
The service was attended by abbots and abbesses from monasteries across Ukraine.
During the liturgy, special petitions for peace in Ukraine were offered.
At the end of the service, the cleric of the Vinnytsia Eparchy, Archpriest Ioann Lukanov, spoke about the event of the transfer of the miraculous Czestochowa Icon of the Mother of God and the revival of the Brailiv Monastery from oblivion.
Metropolitan Varsonofy conveyed the archpastoral blessing and congratulations from His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry to those present.
The abbess of the Brailiv Monastery, Mother Superior Antonia (Stetsenko), was awarded the Order of Sts. Anthony and Theodosius of the Caves, First Degree. This award was also bestowed upon Nun Anastasia and Nun Theodosia, the first residents of the monastery.
After the Divine Liturgy, a solemn procession took place, during which the abbess of the Bar Women's Monastery, Mother Superior Dimitria (Filikova), presented the Brailiv Monastery with a found ancient Bar Icon of the Mother of God, a precise copy of the famous shrine that was previously kept in the Bar Monastery until its closure.
At the conclusion of the celebrations, Metropolitan Varsonofy thanked everyone for the joint prayer and wished each one God's help, peace in the heart, and the heavenly protection of the Most Holy Theotokos.
As reported by the UOJ, in the Vinnytsia region, UOC hierarchs prayed with the faithful of persecuted communities.
