On Antipascha, His Beatitude celebrates the Liturgy at a church in Podil

On April 27, 2025, on the feast of Antipascha, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Exaltation of the Cross Church in Podil, according to the UOC's Press Service.

Metropolitan Onuphry was concelebrated by Metropolitan Victor of Khmelnytsky and Starokostiantyniv, Archbishop Sylvester of Bilohorodka, Archbishop Dionysiy of Pereiaslav-Khmelnytsky, Bishop Lavr of Irpin, Bishop Mark of Borodianka, Bishop Arkadiy of Hostomel, along with the clergy of the parish and visiting guests.

The clergy and faithful prayed to the Lord for peace in the Ukrainian land and for deliverance from the enemy; that the Lord might look upon our people with mercy and preserve those who are in despair and have lost their homes; and for God’s blessing upon people of goodwill who assist those in need. In a prayer following the litany, the Primate asked the Lord for mercy upon the Ukrainian people: that He would grant wisdom to the authorities, strengthen the soldiers with courage, free the captives, heal the sick, and shelter those who have been left homeless.

After the Divine Liturgy, the clergy performed the rite of glorification of the Feast of the Resurrection of Christ. His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry. congratulated the faithful on the feast and sprinkled them with holy water.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that the Church celebrates Antipascha.
