Donald and Melania Trump to attend Pope Francis’ funeral

U.S. President Donald Trump and his wife Melania will travel to the Vatican to attend the funeral of Pope Francis. Trump announced this on his social media platform, Truth Social.

“Melania and I will be going to the funeral of Pope Francis, in Rome. We look forward to being there!” Trump wrote. In another post, he expressed his wish that God bless the pontiff and all who loved him.

According to the Vatican, the funeral will be held on April 26. The Mass will be presided over by Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re. Following the service, the coffin will be transferred to the Papal Basilica of Saint Mary Major for burial.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that Pope Francis passed away on April 21.
