Jerusalem Patriarch expresses support for Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra abbot

Following the Divine Liturgy on the Feast of the Praise of the Theotokos, April 5, 2025, the abbot of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, Metropolitan Pavel (Lebid), held a video call with Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem, according to the lavra.ua website.
The Jerusalem Patriarch extended his blessing and offered words of support to the abbot and the brotherhood of the Lavra.
“At the conclusion of their conversation, the hierarchs congratulated one another on the upcoming great feast of the Annunciation of the Most Holy Theotokos and asked for each other’s holy prayers,” the report states.
As previously reported by the UOJ, Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem has expressed support for persecuted hierarchs of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
