On February 27, 2027, the Northern Appellate Economic Court of Kyiv held another session regarding the illegal termination of the Kyiv-Pechersk Monastery brethren’s lease agreement for the Lower Lavra. The monastery’s lawyer, Archpriest Nikita Chekman, announced on his Telegram channel that the hearing had been postponed.

During the session, the Lavra’s lawyers filed a motion to recuse the judge, which the court rejected. A third party also requested the recusal of another judge, but their request was similarly denied.

Meanwhile, the defendant (the National Reserve) filed a motion to postpone the case hearing. Archpriest Nikita Chekman, the UOC’s lawyer, also requested a postponement due to illness.

The next hearing is scheduled for April 10 at 12:00 PM.

As previously reported by the UOJ, the court hearing on the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra’s lawsuit against the reserve regarding the use of the Assumption and Refectory Churches was also postponed.
