Mukachevo Eparchy comments on photos of its hierarchs in ROC calendar

On February 14, 2025, the Information Department of the Mukachevo Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church commented on the inclusion of UOC bishops in the Patriarchal Calendar of the Russian Orthodox Church.
The statement was published on the Facebook page of Metropolitan Theodore of Mukachevo and Uzhhorod.
“The Mukachevo Eparchy of the UOC officially declares that the hierarchs of the eparchy did not give any consent for the publication of their personal data in the mentioned publication,” the document states.
The eparchy noted that such actions are unacceptable as they lead to misinformation, manipulation, and artificially escalating the situation.
“Such publications are used to spread false information that has no relation to the real state of affairs in the Ukrainian Orthodox Church,” the Mukachevo Eparchy emphasized.
The statement also mentioned that the eparchy operates in accordance with the decisions of the UOC Council and the Statute dated May 27, 2022.
“Any speculations regarding the dependence of our eparchy or the entire UOC on other church structures are unfounded and do not correspond to reality,” the statement highlighted.
The eparchy urged the clergy and believers to rely exclusively on official information disseminated through the official sources of the UOC.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that Metropolitan Victor commented on the actions of the ROC regarding UOC eparchies.
