February 13, 2025 – U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin will attempt to achieve a ceasefire in Ukraine by Easter (April 20) or May 9, Financial Times reports, citing high-ranking Ukrainian and Western officials.

"Trump and Putin will likely aim for a ceasefire by one of two significant dates: Easter, which both the Orthodox and Catholic churches will celebrate on April 20 this year, or May 9, when Russia marks the Soviet Union’s victory over Nazi Germany," Financial Times quoted its sources as saying.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that U.S. President Donald Trump stated: "It is time to stop this ridiculous War, where there has been massive, and totally unnecessary, DEATH and DESTRUCTION. God bless the people of Russia and Ukraine!"
