Wedding of Russia chief rabbi's daughter and Odesa rabbi's son held in Israel

February 13, 2025 – The wedding of Rivka Lazar, daughter of Russia’s Chief Rabbi Berel Lazar, and Sholom Wolff, son of Rabbi Avraham Wolff of Odessa and southern Ukraine, took place in the Israeli city of Ma'ale Adumim near Jerusalem, Strana reports.

About 200 guests attended the wedding, including prominent representatives and leaders of Jewish communities from Russia and Ukraine. The event was entertained by Russian rapper of Ukrainian origin, GeeGun.

Earlier, Berel Lazar praised Vladimir Putin for his "zero tolerance for anti-Semitism" in Russia. Meanwhile, Avraham Wolff has repeatedly participated in Jewish rituals at the Presidential Office together with Volodymyr Zelensky.

It will be recalled that President Zelensky previously lit a menorah with Jews at the Presidential Office.
