On January 29, 2025, a delegation from the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations (UCCRO) visited London and held a meeting with British parliamentarians from the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Freedom of Religion or Belief, the organization's website reports.

The Ukrainian delegation, led by the spokesperson of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU), Yevstratii Zoria, spoke about the consequences of Russia's military aggression against Ukraine and the spiritual and humanitarian efforts of Ukrainian churches and religious organizations aimed at supporting both defenders and civilians amid the war.

During the meeting, Ukrainian religious leaders also raised the issue of religious freedom in Ukraine and the challenges faced by different denominations in wartime conditions. Special attention was given to Russia’s crimes in temporarily occupied territories, particularly concerning religious persecution. The UCCRO delegation called on British MPs to continue supporting Ukraine, particularly in matters of establishing a just peace and ensuring security.

As previously reported by the UOJ, Zelensky thanked UCCRO members for their advocacy of Ukraine abroad.
